5 Artists Just Blaze Should Also Give A Beat To

January 6, 2012
We’ve all heard what Just Blaze has done lately right? He had that track with Rick Ross, produced for Drake on “Lord Knows,” Mac Miller on Best Day Ever, XV and got a spot on the Maybach Music Self Made Vol. 1 compilation. He’s also got work on the way with Styles P & Jadakiss, N.O.R.E., Kendrick Lamar, OnCue, 50 Cent and Slaughterhouse, so 2012 might shape up to be a good year for Just (will we see a Jay Electronica project?).
After seeing Styles P get hyped about working with Justin on Twitter yesterday, we thought of other artists that should get a beat from the super producer. Artists that would compliment his skill and bring their own flavor to the mix. With this being Just’s last year producing (will he get on that Jay-Z solo album, though?), we hope JB can reach out to some of the newer generation of rhymesmiths and get it in before it’s grand closing.
Check our list after the jump.
- Nipsey Hussle: We were listening to The Marathon earlier and we couldn’t help but to rock with our dude Nip. We need him back on that “Hussle In The House” level. What better way than linking up with one of the best producers in the game? Neighborhood Nip needs that look. Actually, he deserves it.
- Action Bronson: Hailing straight out of Queens, we definitely feel like these two can drop that New York music the entire world has been waiting for since the ’90s. That hip-hop that’s appealing enough for radio play across the country, yet keep it still true to the NY state of mind.
- Schoolboy Q: We already know Kendrick Lamar confirmed a track with Just Blaze last year and we know it’ll be epic beyond proportions, but how RAW would a track with Schoolboy Q sound? If he gave him something gutter like “Public Service Announcement?” You’re talking about a Just Blaze that’s been working with Dr. Dre on DETOX for how long now? That’s the type of sound Q would need on this track.
- J. Cole: This would probably the go-to choice for hip-hop heads in 2012. Jermaine with Justin production. It’s a no brainer, right? Hip-Hop needs this? Everyone else on the ROC got a piece of the pie,Cole World needs that last slice.
- The-Dream: Did you just hear what The-Dream put out? Do you remember what Just did with Usher for Confessions? Man, this guy needs to produce more R&B material.
